An intimate afternoon with one of Paris’ great artists. One of the first Americans to receive the Fulbright Scholarship, Arthur Hall Smith made his inaugural trip to the City of Lights on the Queen Mary. Trained at the Beaux Arts he expanded his artistic horizons and began a life-long relationship with Paris. This film is a vérité style conversation with the artist at his studio in Saint Germain des Pres.

Update: We are saddened to report that Arthur Hall Smith passed away in Paris, France in February 2013 a month before his 84th birthday. Arthur was generous of spirit, a quick witted conversationalist and created a rich body of work. He will be missed by friends, students and family.
